requirements.
AS_LOOKUPS stores miscellaneous lookup values used throughout Oracle
Sales and Marketing. Each row includes a lookup type, a language-
independent code, a language-dependent description, a language-
dependent meaning, and effectivity dates.
.
The records in this table are the source for QuickCodes used
in Oracle Sales and Marketing. QuickCodes provide a list of valid
values available for many of the fields throughout Oracle Sales and
Marketing.
.
Each value in the LOOKUP_CODE column must be unique within the lookup
type to which it belongs. These codes are usually hidden from the user
both in the QuickCode pop-up windows and in the forms. The user will
usually see the value entered in the MEANING column. It is therefore
important when adding lookup codes, to make sure that the value
entered in the MEANING column is brief and meaningful. Another column,
DESCRIPTION is available for the user to enter a longer description of
the lookup code.
.
If the value in the column ENABLED_FLAG is 'N' (No), then this lookup
code will not be available for use. It will not be displayed when a
user uses a QuickCode to look at codes of the type to which it belongs
and if entered in the field, the user will be informed that it is not
a valid code. Similarly, if the system date is not between the start
and end date for the code, it will not be displayed or accepted as a
valid code.
