Overview

CSI_CTR_ESTIMATED_READINGS_V is an APPS-owned database view in the Oracle E-Business Suite Install Base (CSI) product family. It is documented in ETRM as the "Counter estimated readings view" and is classified as a VALID object. The view exposes the estimated readings that EBS generates for counters associated with installed base instances, assets, and meters. In EBS 12.1.1 and 12.2.2, this object is a read-only projection over a single underlying base object and serves as the reporting and integration surface for meter-estimation data, allowing external systems, concurrent programs, and custom reports to retrieve estimated consumption values without querying the transactional table directly.

The column NUM_OF_READINGS, which users frequently search for, is one of the view's exposed attributes. It records the number of readings used in the estimation calculation for a given estimated reading record, and is therefore central to understanding how a particular estimated meter value was derived.

Because the definition is a direct pass-through, the view inherits the primary key and unique constraints of the base object, the OBJECT_VERSION_NUMBER used for optimistic locking, and the standard EBS audit and descriptive flexfield columns (WHO columns, ATTRIBUTE1 through ATTRIBUTE15, ATTRIBUTE_CATEGORY, and SECURITY_GROUP_ID). The presence of MIGRATED_FLAG indicates records migrated from legacy counter data are also surfaced through this view.
