Overview
XTR_XTRREVGL_XMLP_PKG is the generated PL/SQL package that backs the Oracle EBS Treasury (ETRM) concurrent program report identified internally as XTRREVGL. In Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.1 and 12.2.2, XML Publisher (BI Publisher) concurrent programs are driven by an auto-generated package that declares the report's input parameters as package-level variables and implements the report's PL/SQL trigger logic as procedures and functions. This package therefore serves as the glue between the concurrent request submission form, the report's SQL query, and the XML template that renders the output.
The report's business function is to present a realized and unrealized gain/loss (revaluation) view of foreign-currency treasury deals. The parameter variables such as P_REALIZED_FLAG, P_BATCH_ID_FROM, P_BATCH_ID_TO, P_DATE_FROM, P_DATE_TO, P_CURRENCY, P_DEAL_TYPE, P_PORTFOLIO, and P_COMPANY confirm that the report accepts an accounting period or date range, a batch range, and a currency/deal-type/portfolio filter, and reports amounts broken out by period, currency, and deal attributes.
Key Procedures and Functions
The package exposes eleven documented program units. Their names describe two broad categories: the standard XML Publisher report trigger points and column-formatting formula functions.
- BEFOREREPORT — the before-report trigger; it initializes package variable defaults and derived values (for example the Z1 and Z2 display labels) before the data model query executes.
- AFTERPFORM — the after-parameter-form trigger, invoked once the concurrent program parameter form is completed, used to prepare input values for the report run.
- AFTERREPORT — the after-report trigger, typically used for cleanup or final output shaping once the report data has been produced.
- BEGIN_FVFORMULA and END_FVFORMULA — paired functions that bracket the fair-value computation for a given deal, taking company, reference number, period start, and deal type as their documented inputs and returning a numeric result.
- C_DATEFORMATFORMULA — supplies the date format mask used when rendering date columns.
- CO_SHT_NAMEFORMULA — returns the short currency (CCY_SHT) label used in report headings and column captions.
- C_REPORT_NAMEFORMULA — returns the report title text used in the report header.
- C_REV_PERIODFORMULA — returns the revaluation period label applied to the report output.
- USER_DEAL_TYPEFORMULA and USER_DEAL_SUBTYPEFORMULA — resolve the user-facing deal type and deal subtype descriptions, driven by the P_USER_DEAL_TYPE and P_USER_DEAL_SUBTYPE parameters.
Tables Accessed
The package and its report query reference the following tables through APPS synonyms:
- XTR_DEALS, XTR_DEAL_TYPES, XTR_DEAL_SUBTYPES — the core deal header data and the deal type/subtype lookup values that drive the type and subtype formula functions.
- XTR_BATCHES and XTR_BATCH_EVENTS — batch selection and the batch range filter (P_BATCH_ID_FROM / P_BATCH_ID_TO), plus event-level detail used in the revaluation calculation.
- XTR_ROLLOVER_TRANSACTIONS — rollover activity that affects period-over-period gain/loss.
- XTR_PARTY_INFO — counterparty information used for the company and party columns.
- FND_CONCURRENT_REQUESTS — joins the report to its concurrent request record, consistent with the P_CONC_REQUEST_ID parameter.
- FND_NEW_MESSAGES — the FND message source used by the formula functions to return translated labels and report text.
Usage Notes
This package is not intended to be called directly by application forms or custom code. It is invoked exclusively by the concurrent manager when the XTRREVGL concurrent program is submitted; the concurrent manager calls BEFOREREPORT, executes the data model query, then calls the column and report formula functions during rendering, and finally AFTERREPORT. As the package is generated with AUTHID CURRENT_USER and is not referenced by any other package, no public API contract is exposed for external callers.
The parameter most relevant to the user's search, P_USER_GROUPBY (declared alongside P_USER_FACTOR, P_USER_DATE_FROM, and P_USER_DATE_TO), is the user-entered grouping choice passed from the concurrent program parameter window. It is used in conjunction with P_GROUPBY and the Z1PARA_GROUPING variable to determine how the report output is grouped — for example by company, portfolio, deal type, or currency. Because these are plain package-level VARCHAR2 variables populated by the XML Publisher parameter engine, any customization that alters the grouping behavior must be applied to the concurrent program's parameter definition or the underlying report query rather than to the package specification, which is overwritten on patching. Any diagnostic tracing is controlled by P_SQL_TRACE.
