About ETRM Live

ETRM Live is a free search engine and AI assistant for the Oracle E-Business Suite Electronic Technical Reference Manuals (ETRM), covering releases 12.1.1 and 12.2.2.

What this site is

The ETRM documents the physical data model of Oracle EBS — every table, view, package, index and concurrent program, across roughly 2.5 million pages. Oracle no longer hosts this documentation publicly, and the raw files are impractical to download and navigate. ETRM Live preserves the original pages exactly as published and adds full-text search, structured schema search (columns, foreign keys, package APIs), and AI-assisted answers on top.

Where the data comes from

Every fact served by this site originates from the ETRM documentation for releases 12.1.1 and 12.2.2. The corpus is frozen — these releases are final, so the documentation does not change. On top of the original pages we run our own extraction pipeline that parses documented columns, primary and foreign keys, PL/SQL package signatures and dependencies into structured indices. Where we infer something the documentation does not state (for example, a likely relationship based on column naming), it is always labeled as inferred, never presented as documented fact.

How the AI features work

Search-result summaries and the AI chat are generated by a large language model that is grounded in the documented metadata above: the model is given the actual documented columns, keys, signatures and descriptions for the objects in question, and is instructed to distinguish documented facts, inferred relationships, and general knowledge. Answers cite and link the underlying ETRM pages so you can verify anything directly.

AI output can contain mistakes. For anything that matters — production SQL, upgrade decisions, integrations — verify against the linked documentation pages and your own instance.
