etrm.live in your AI assistant
Connect Claude, Cursor, VS Code or any other MCP client to the etrm.live schema tools. Your assistant then looks up the documented Oracle EBS 12.1.1 / 12.2.2 tables, columns, keys, joins and package APIs instead of guessing them, and checks its SQL against the ETRM before showing it to you.
The beta is free and invite-only. Each tester gets a personal key by email. Request a key · Connect · Try it · Tools · Limits · Feedback
1. Get a key
Keys look like etrm_ followed by 40 characters. Join the list and we'll
email you a beta key:
Treat the key like a password. The connector URL below contains it, so don't paste that URL into chats, tickets or screenshots. If a key leaks, tell us and we'll replace it.
2. Connect your client
Replace YOUR_KEY with your key. There are two ways to pass it: in the URL,
for clients that only take a URL, or as an Authorization header.
Claude (claude.ai and Claude Desktop)
Open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Name it etrm.live, paste this URL, and leave the advanced (OAuth) settings empty:
https://etrm.live/mcp/k/YOUR_KEY
Then enable the connector in a chat from the tools menu.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http etrm https://etrm.live/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY"
Add --scope user to use it in every project. Check it with claude mcp list.
Cursor
In ~/.cursor/mcp.json (all projects) or .cursor/mcp.json (one project):
{
"mcpServers": {
"etrm": {
"url": "https://etrm.live/mcp",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_KEY" }
}
}
}
VS Code (GitHub Copilot agent mode)
In .vscode/mcp.json:
{
"servers": {
"etrm": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://etrm.live/mcp",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_KEY" }
}
}
}
Any other MCP client
The server speaks MCP over Streamable HTTP. Use https://etrm.live/mcp with
the header Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY. If the client can't send headers, use
https://etrm.live/mcp/k/YOUR_KEY with no authentication.
3. Try it
Name the release if it matters. Without one, the tools answer for 12.2.2.
- Write SQL listing open sales orders with customer name and ordered item, for EBS 12.2.2.
- How do AP invoice distributions reach GL journal lines in R12? Give me the joins.
- Which public API creates a supplier site, and which of its parameters are required?
- What changed in AP_INVOICES_ALL between 12.1.1 and 12.2.2?
- Check this SQL against the ETRM: (paste a query)
Answers cite etrm.live pages so you can check them. Join steps are labelled by where they come from: documented in the ETRM, verified against Oracle's own SQL, implied by an Oracle ER diagram, or inferred.
Tools
All tools only read data. They look up the indexed ETRM and don't call an AI model; your own assistant does the reasoning.
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
search_etrm_objects | Finds tables, views, packages and other objects by name or topic. |
get_object_details | Full documented details of one object. |
list_object_columns | Columns of a table or view, with types, comments and deprecated flags. |
find_join_path | Join path between two tables, each step labelled by provenance, with alternatives and warnings. |
get_data_vault_summary | Primary key, business-key candidates and foreign-key fan-out of a table. |
find_apis_for_table | PL/SQL packages that use a table, most widely used first. |
get_package_api | Procedures of a package with their parameters (required or optional) and whether it is a public API. |
find_concurrent_program | Concurrent programs by name, with executable and execution method. |
list_object_relationships | Documented foreign keys of a table, both directions. |
find_tables_with_column | Every table that has a given column. |
get_view_details | Base objects and columns of a view, or the views built on a table. |
compare_versions | What changed in an object between 12.1.1 and 12.2.2. |
validate_sql_columns | Checks every table and column in a SQL statement against the ETRM and suggests fixes. |
module_overview | Core tables, interfaces and public APIs of a module (AP, AR, GL, ONT…). |
find_subject_areas | Oracle's own ER diagrams by table, area name or module, with their joins and the diagram PDF. |
Limits
Limits count tool calls per key and reset at 00:00 UTC. One SQL question usually takes 5 to 10 calls: search, columns, join path and SQL validation.
| Key | Tool calls / day | Per minute |
|---|---|---|
| free | 50 | 20 |
| beta (beta testers) | 500 | 30 |
| pro | 2000 | 60 |
Over the daily limit, search_etrm_objects keeps working and the other tools tell your
assistant the limit was reached. Pro, with higher limits, comes after the beta. Beta testers hear first.
Known gaps
- The data is the ETRM for 12.1.1 and 12.2.2 only: no customizations, no data from your instance, no other releases.
- Many real joins have no foreign key in the ETRM. Where the tools only have an inferred or incidental route they say so; check those against your own instance.
- Receivables invoice → customer address: the join path can pick the remit-to address. Ask for the bill-to or ship-to site explicitly.
- Fixed Assets → General Ledger through Subledger Accounting has no verified join rule yet.
- Searching for PL/SQL packages in plain English is weak. Package or procedure names work much better.
Feedback
Wrong join, missing table, confusing answer? Send the question you asked and what you expected: admin [at] etrm [dot] live. We see which tool calls failed or returned a warning, but not your assistant's final answer, so the question itself helps most.
