Overview

IGS_PS_USEC_X_GRPMEM_V is a seeded, read-only view owned by the APPS schema in the Oracle E-Business Suite Student System (IGS) product. It presents a denormalized, report-ready projection of unit section cross-listed group membership records, combining enrollment group membership details with presentation attributes of the underlying unit offering option. The view is intended for enrollment reporting and integration scenarios where a human-readable section identifier and enrollment capacity figures are required alongside group membership data. Because the view synthesizes a UNIT_SECTION descriptor from multiple coded columns, it removes the need for consumers to perform their own concatenation logic and joins against the unit offering option, unit version, unit class, and calendar instance tables.

In Oracle EBS 12.1.1 and 12.2.2 the object remains defined in the APPS schema with VALID status. Its presence in the ETRM repository confirms it is a supported, documented object for reporting rather than an internal implementation artifact.

Underlying Base Objects

The view definition references the following IGS tables:

• IGS_PS_USEC_X_GRPMEM — the driving table, holding cross-listed group membership records. Its ROWID is exposed as ROW_ID and its primary key column USEC_X_LISTED_GROUP_MEM_ID is surfaced directly.
• IGS_PS_UNIT_OFR_OPT — the unit offering option, joined on UOO_ID; source of UNIT_CD, VERSION_NUMBER, LOCATION_CD, UNIT_CLASS, and the ENROLLMENT_ACTUAL value.
• IGS_PS_UNIT_VER — the unit version, supplying default ENROLLMENT_MAXIMUM and OVERRIDE_ENROLLMENT_MAX where no waitlist limit row exists.
• IGS_PS_USEC_LIM_WLST — the waitlist limit table, outer-joined on UOO_ID and used as the preferred source of enrollment maximums.
• IGS_PS_USEC_X_GRP — the cross-listed group header, providing the MAX_ENR_GROUP and MAX_OVR_GROUP flags.

Because ENROLLMENT_ACTUAL is sourced from IGS_PS_UNIT_OFR_OPT and defaulted to zero, the value reflects the offering option snapshot at query time and is not a live registration count; consumers requiring transactional precision should aggregate from the enrollment base tables instead.
