Overview
The APPS.FV_DISB_IN_TRANSIT package is a treasury-side PL/SQL module in Oracle E-Business Suite that supports disbursement-in-transit processing for the U.S. Federal payments solution. Its principal purpose is to reconcile and clear payment instruments — typically treasury checks — that have been issued against a disbursing office but have not yet been confirmed by the paying treasury confirmation process. The package provides the programmatic backbone for the Disbursement In Transit reconciliation logic, allowing the application to identify outstanding disbursements, match them to treasury confirmations, and generate the corresponding clearing or voiding entries in the payment and accounting subsystems. As an OTHER-classified API, it is not exposed as a public, supported integration interface; it functions as an internal utility invoked by the standard treasury reconciliation concurrent programs and forms.
Key Procedures and Functions
- MAIN — The primary driver procedure for the disbursement-in-transit process. It is structured to be invoked as a concurrent program entry point, accepting the standard concurrent
errbufandretcodeOUT parameters along with treasury confirmation and button-context inputs. It orchestrates the identification and processing of in-transit disbursements. - VOID — Handles the voiding branch of the process, using the same concurrent program signature convention. It is responsible for reversing or voiding in-transit disbursements that are determined not to clear, driving the appropriate voided-check and accounting-reversal records.
- GET_SEGMENT_VALUES — A helper routine that resolves accounting flexfield segment values for a given code combination. It accepts a code combination identifier and is used internally to derive and populate the accounting segment information required when building clearing or reversal journal entries.
Tables Accessed
The package reads and writes across the payment, treasury, and accounting schemas via APPS synonyms:
- Payment tables —
AP_CHECKS_ALL/AP_CHECKS,AP_INVOICE_PAYMENTS_ALL/AP_INVOICE_PAYMENTS, andAP_PAYMENT_PROGRAMSsupply the issued payment detail used to establish what is outstanding. - Accounting tables —
AP_AE_LINES_ALL/AP_AE_LINESandGL_CODE_COMBINATIONScarry the accounting distributions and code combination validation required to post clearing entries. - Treasury tables —
FV_TREASURY_CONFIRMATIONS_ALL/FV_TREASURY_CONFIRMATIONS,FV_TREASURY_CHECK_RANGES,FV_TC_OFFSETS,FV_OPERATING_UNITS, andFV_VOIDED_CHECKS/FV_VOIDED_CHECKS_Sprovide the confirmation matching, check-range, offset, and voided-check data that define which disbursements are in transit and how they resolve.
Usage Notes
FV_DISB_IN_TRANSIT is typically invoked as a concurrent program rather than called directly from custom code; the MAIN and VOID signatures follow the standard concurrent entry-point convention. GET_SEGMENT_VALUES is an internal helper and is not intended for external calls. In EBS 12.1.1 and 12.2.2 the package header remains stable, with the last source revision recorded at version 120.3. Because the ETRM metadata indicates zero dependent packages and an OTHER classification, the module should be treated as internal treasury reconciliation logic; customizations that call these procedures directly risk breakage on patching, and integrations should rely on the supported concurrent program interface instead.
