It exposes student loan servicer records — the external organizations that administer, disburse, and track federal and institutional loan funds on behalf of an institution — together with selected party-level attributes. Because servicer identifiers must be exchanged with external agencies (for example, the Common Origination and Disbursement process and Title IV reporting), the view provides a stable, denormalized read interface rather than requiring downstream consumers to join the servicer table and the institution organization hierarchy themselves.

The view is a simple, non-key-preserving join. It does not store data; all values are derived at query time from the underlying servicer and organization definitions maintained through the Financial Aid setup and organization administration forms.

Underlying Base Objects

The view is defined over two documented sources:

• IGF_SL_SERVICER — the primary base table holding servicer setup records, including the servicer identifier, description, party reference, and enabled flag.
• IGS_OR_INST_ORG_BASE_V — an institution organization base view supplying PARTY_NUMBER and PARTY_NAME for the organization associated with the servicer party.

The join between the two is an outer join on PARTY_ID (SRVC.PARTY_ID = ORG.PARTY_ID(+)). This construction ensures that every servicer row from IGF_SL_SERVICER is returned even when no matching institution organization record exists, with a NULL party number and name in that case. Practically, this means the view is safe to use as the single authoritative servicer list without silently dropping rows.
