Overview
CSP_SCH_INT_PVT is a private PL/SQL package in the APPS schema that forms the scheduling and integration engine of the Oracle E-Business Suite Depot Repair and Service (CSP) modules. It is the internal implementation layer behind the public scheduling interfaces, responsible for determining parts availability, selecting the most appropriate sourcing option, reserving inventory, and creating the internal sales order or repair order lines required to fulfill a service requirement. Because the package is classified as PVT, its procedures are not intended to be called directly by external products; instead they are consumed by other CSP packages such as CSP_REPAIR_PO_PVT, CSP_REPAIR_PO_GRP, CSP_PARTS_REQUIREMENT, CSP_SUPERSESSIONS_PVT, CSP_SCH_INT_PVT_W, and CSF_TASK_ASSIGNMENTS_PUB. In EBS 12.1.1 and 12.2.2 the package occupies a central position in the flow that converts a depot repair requirement into concrete material and order transactions.
Key Procedures and Functions
The 21 documented procedures span four functional clusters:
- Availability determination: GET_AVAILABILITY_OPTIONS generates candidate sourcing options for a requirement; CHOOSE_OPTION selects the preferred option; CHECK_PARTS_AVAILABILITY validates whether required parts can be met; CHECK_LOCAL_INVENTORY assesses on-hand stock; GET_ALTERNATES retrieves substitute or alternate parts; SPARES_CHECK2 performs an additional spares validation check.
- Reservation management: CREATE_RESERVATION creates a material reservation for a requirement; CREATE_RES_FOR_RCV_TRANXS reserves inventory against receiving transactions; CANCEL_RESERVATION reverses a reservation.
- Order generation: CREATE_ORDERS constructs the order lines needed to fulfill requirements; CANCEL_ORDER_LINE cancels an existing order line.
- Engineering and task handling: TASKS_POST_INSERT and TASK_POST_CANCEL process task assignment side effects; WS_CHECK_OTHER_ENG_SUBINV, WS_CHECK_ENGINEERS_SUBINV, and WS_CHECK_ORGANIZATIONS perform web-service style validation of subinventories and organizations; GET_DELIVERY_DATE and GET_ARRIVAL_DATE return scheduling dates; CLEAN_MATERIAL_TRANSACTION and CLEAN_REQUIREMENT perform cleanup of temporary or stale scheduling data.
These procedures are grouped into the private API that orchestrates the scheduling decision and its downstream transactional consequences.
Tables Accessed
The package reads and writes through APPS synonyms. Inventory and sourcing data reside in CSP_AVAILABLE_PARTS_TEMP, CSP_REQUIRED_PARTS_TEMP, CSP_SEC_INVENTORIES, and CSP_INV_LOC_ASSIGNMENTS. Requirement state is persisted in CSP_REQUIREMENT_HEADERS, CSP_REQUIREMENT_LINES, CSP_REQUIREMENT_LINES_S1, and CSP_REQ_LINE_DETAILS. Calendar and logistics information come from BOM_CALENDAR_DATES, CSP_CARRIER_DELIVERY_TIMES, and CSP_RS_CUST_RELATIONS. Customer and organization reference data are drawn from HZ_CUST_ACCT_SITES, HZ_CUST_ACCT_SITES_ALL, HR_ALL_ORGANIZATION_UNITS, and CS_INCIDENTS_ALL. These tables together provide the inventory, requirement, calendar, and party context needed for the scheduling decisions the package performs.
Usage Notes
CSP_SCH_INT_PVT is invoked indirectly rather than from direct user calls. It is called by the CSP repair order packages (CSP_REPAIR_PO_PVT, CSP_REPAIR_PO_GRP), the parts requirement package (CSP_PARTS_REQUIREMENT), the supersession logic (CSP_SUPERSESSIONS_PVT), the task assignment public API (CSF_TASK_ASSIGNMENTS_PUB), and its own worker and wrapper variants (CSP_SCH_INT_PVT_W). Because the procedures are private and subject to change between point releases, customizations should call the corresponding public CSP APIs rather than CSP_SCH_INT_PVT directly. In 12.1.1 and 12.2.2 the object is reported as VALID, and its behavior is exercised through Depot Repair scheduling, parts availability checks, and reservation flows surfaced in the CSP forms and concurrent programs.
